In so many conflicts, the participants on both sides are blinded by fear, paranoia and an inability to see from any but their own perspective.

That was certainly true of the people on the flotilla and of the IDF forces brought to stop it. It also seems to be true of the governments behind both sides.

Maeve, and you, bring a needed perspective: an attempt to see through the eyes of both sides, or perhaps more accurately, to feel through their hearts.

Brava!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05942539860342568543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287418096544149672.post-5647366149920920652010-06-09T04:58:51.168-07:002010-06-09T04:58:51.168-07:00Your blogs are always rich in a kind of beautiful ...Your blogs are always rich in a kind of beautiful wisdom that isn't afraid to be puzzled, that isn't ashamed not to know all the answers, that holds the paradoxical tenderly and with compassion. Thank you for encouraging us to go more deeply, beyond cant, beyond the knee-jerk, beyond jingoist politics, to the very heart of things.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287418096544149672.post-62014520358231728252010-06-08T22:46:04.696-07:002010-06-08T22:46:04.696-07:00Wow, this was such an interesting post on so many ...Wow, this was such an interesting post on so many levels. Do you ever get confused about which world is real, yours or Maeve's?

You speak to so many themes that are active in me at the moment. I am so thankful that you give such a multi-faceted view of the issues she is facing. I feel like I want to start asking myself 'what would Maeve do?' for guidance?

I can't wait to read it!Brooke https://www.blogger.com/profile/16569793565975815862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7287418096544149672.post-5003354162843409142010-06-08T17:54:00.399-07:002010-06-08T17:54:00.399-07:00you make me think of a new life mantra: "Live...you make me think of a new life mantra: "Live Undaunted!" I feel daunted by the task of living it. You may feel daunted when you read it, but we are doing our best to make it worth your while.Elizabeth Cunninghamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14307027953779753978noreply@blogger.com
